Fire Pits Direct Warranty Policy

Introduction

Fire Pits Direct is committed to providing high-quality fire pits and accessories. This warranty policy outlines the terms and conditions for products purchased from our Australian e-commerce store, Fire Pits Direct, covering both our imported products and those sourced from local suppliers.

General Warranty Terms

  • Coverage: This warranty applies to products purchased from Fire Pits Direct for residential/ domestic use only. Commercial use is excluded unless otherwise specified.

  • Warranty Period: Unless otherwise stated, all products come with a standard one-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential/ domestic use.

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or order confirmation from Fire Pits Direct is required for all warranty claims.

  • Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, improper installation, neglect, accidents, modifications, normal wear and tear, or environmental factors such as salt air causing corrosion, hail, snow, extreme weather conditions, or exposure to harsh chemicals. Damage caused by failure to follow product instructions or use in commercial settings is also excluded.

Product-Specific Warranty Terms

Fire Pits Direct Products

  • Warranty Period: All fire pits and accessories imported by Fire Pits Direct carry a one-year warranty for residential/ domestic use.

  • Coverage: Covers defects in materials and workmanship. Repairs or replacements will be provided at Fire Pits Direct’s discretion, subject to inspection of the product.

  • Conditions: Products must be used in accordance with provided instructions and maintained properly. See General Warranty Terms for exclusions, including environmental factors.

Galio Products

  • Warranty Period: All Galio products come with a two-year warranty

  • Coverage: Covers defects in materials and workmanship for the entire product, including components, unless otherwise specified.

  • Conditions: Products must be installed and used as per manufacturer guidelines. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and may involve inspection by Fire Pits Direct or the supplier. See General Warranty Terms for exclusions, including environmental factors. The product must be covered when not in use to protect from environmental elements. 

EcoSmart Products

  • Stainless Steel Burners:

    • Warranty Period: Two-year warranty

    • Coverage: Applies to defects in materials and workmanship of the stainless steel burners only.

  • Other Components:

    • Warranty Period: One-year warranty

    • Coverage: Covers defects in materials and workmanship for all other parts of EcoSmart products, excluding the stainless steel burners.

  • Conditions: Products must be used and maintained according to EcoSmart’s instructions. Damage due to improper fuel use, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized modifications is not covered. See General Warranty Terms for exclusions, including environmental factors.

  • Chips and scratches are not covered by warranty. Natural variation in color, texture and porosity may occur with Fluid™ Concrete Technology products and are considered inherent and valued qualities of the material. Non-structural hairline cracks are possible and shall not be considered a manufacturing defect.

    If you live in extreme weather conditions where accumulation of snow is likely, use of the All-Season Bag is imperative in order to be covered by warranty.

Warranty Claim Process

  1. Contact Us: Submit warranty claims to Fire Pits Direct via email at support@firepitsdirect.com.au or through our website’s contact form within the applicable warranty period.

  2. Provide Details: Include your order number, proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and photos or videos of the defect.

  3. Assessment: Fire Pits Direct will review the claim and may request the return of the product for inspection. Shipping costs for returns may be covered by Fire Pits Direct if the claim is approved.

  4. Resolution: If the claim is valid, Fire Pits Direct will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or refund the product. If a replacement is provided, it will carry the remainder of the original warranty period.

Limitations

  • Non-Transferable: Warranties are valid only for the original purchaser and are non-transferable.

  • Geographic Scope: This warranty applies to products purchased and used within Australia.

  • Liability: Fire Pits Direct’s liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the defective product. We are not liable for consequential or incidental damages arising from product use.

Australian Consumer Law

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
